Lamb of God

The heavy hitting metal veterans, Lamb of God stormed into Pittsburgh’s Stage AE to kick off their 2016 U.S. tour. After the show was opened by Power Trip and Deafheaven, Anthrax took the stage and ignited the sold out venue into a frenzy that would continue throughout the rest of the evening.

As Lamb of God played the first notes of “Desolation” the  crowd erupted into full-on metal mode. There were heads banging and fists pumping on both levels of the venue. Lead Singer Randy Blythe came out at maximum power with his fierce growling voice and extremely energetic stage presence. Multiple mosh circles appeared again and again throughout “512” as well as during “Still Echoes” from the band’s latest release ‘Sturm Und Drang.’ Pulling a few songs from the vault, they perfomed “The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion” for the first time since 2007 as well as “The Faded Line” which was last performed live back in 2009. Contrasting the older songs in age but not intensity, were the first live performances of “Overlord” and “Erase This.” Rounding out their killer set were “Vigil,” “Laid to Rest” and the LoG classic “Redneck.”

Lamb of God continue to put out great music and stay atop the metal world. For the second time in less than a year, Pittsburgh was treated to an incredible performance. Check out the photos below.
