I cannot say enough good things about Atmosphere. Their sound, lyrics, and energy bring something to the table no other hip hop group has. For over twenty years the duo has brought some of the most raw, witty, serious, and humorous music I have ever heard. But to truly get the full package you need to see Atmosphere live. This past Friday Atmosphere along with Dem Atlas and Brother Ali came to Pittsburgh's Stage AE to party with us, and in my opinion prove why they are one of the top independent artists in music.

Dem Atlas did a terrific job with getting things started. I am not too familiar with his music. But nevertheless his performance was energetic and got the crowd moving.

Brother Ali is a true wordsmith and poet. His music about life and politics are edgy, but captivate the listener while still maintaining to have a soulful vibe. The first time seeing him perform live and I hope to see him again very soon.

I seen Atmosphere a couple of years ago and it seems that no matter where they play bigger or smaller venue they still can bring it. Lyricist Slug (Sean Daley) and Dj Ant (Anthony Davis) performed a near two hour set of classic and new material.

Overall a fantastic night and a great bill of talent.
